It's my Mom's birthday and we all took our leave to be with her on her 76th birthday.  This year we want a simple birthday with only close friends and relatives unlike last year's birthday in resort.  Mom was such a friendly person that our phone rings every now and then- that's her friends greeting her on her special day.  We used to have guests from morning till evening in the past years as Mom was a retired teacher and has lot of friends in the school even her former students who loved her when they were her students. 

My kids are studying in the same school that she taught for so many years and when they learned that she's my Mom they would tell me how kind and sweet she was, some even told me that my Mom was their favorite teacher. I'm proud of my Mom because she's not only a loving mother but an understanding and kind teacher in her time. Even her colleagues or co-teachers seem to have soft spot on her as they fondly ask how my Mom is every time they see me.  She was such a dear.

And on this birthday and everyday of my life I pray and thank God for the wonderful blessing that she gave us (my siblings, my kids and my nephews) a wonderful mother who love us unconditionally. We love you Mom!
